Cúpla is the Irish word for 'a couple' or 'twins' and just as the name suggests, the creation of this very special collection was conceived & created by two: Elaine Madigan & Elaine Honey.

Elaine Madigan & Elaine Honey first met in 2020 and as they worked together, they could not help but notice their shared passion for beautifully made, expertly crafted clothing. As Elaine M. asked Elaine H. to create some garments for her own personal collection, they bonded over their shared understanding of the importance of luxury fabrics in blacks,creams, golds and pops of exciting colours; drawn to a level of quality often exclusively available from the couture houses.

They found their eye for detail in craftsmanship, particularly in the finish of garments; from french seams and bindings to deep generous hems was well matched and so began to dream of building a capsule collection together.
They began with the best materials, discovering a coveted source of designer fabrics from France. The offering of exquisite fabrics from luxury houses with a limited quantity of each, making each garment that much more precious and unique.
Described as ‘modern romantic’, their styles fuse seamlessly to create the first Cúpla Capsule Collection: a dance of 7 garments created in house using opulent silk taffeta fabrics with the signature simplicity synonymous with the Madigan brand.
